Wedding Entertainment Fit For A Royal!
27 May 2018
We can't believe the Royal Wedding was a whole week ago, we're still gushing over the beautiful Bride and Groom in the office and talking about our favourite moments. From Harry's face when he first saw Meghan to Princess Charlotte's constant waving at the crowds it really was a fairytale wedding!
One of the many great things that stood out on the day was the great selection of musical entertainment, right through the ceremony until the evening reception, guests were treated to a variety of music which matched the tone of the moment perfectly and gave many bride and grooms to be, up and down the country, some great ideas for their own wedding days.
We've put together a selection of our acts that are available to make your day fit for a Duke and Duchess!
London Contemporary Voices
The Gospel Choir were a huge hit at the Royal Wedding, with their rousing rendition of 'Stand by Me' being many people's favourite part of the ceremony. London Contemporary Voices is London's leading alternative choir who have worked with artists including Sam Smith, Joss Stone, Alt-J and many more and are a great option to anybody wanting to bring some buzz to their ceremony.
Aga - Cellist
Some people said that Young Musician of the Year, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, stole this show with beautiful renditions of three songs including Franz Schubert's 'Ave Maria.' If you would like to add a touch of elegance to your day, a cellist is a great addition for the ceremony or for during the drinks reception. Aga began playing Cello at the age of 7, she then trained at Lodz Music Academy in Poland. Since graduating she has been performing as a soloist and chamber musician internationally, including leading roles in The Polish Camerata and working with various musicians including Razorlight and The Guillemots.
Drumline
This one's a little twist on the entertainment at the Royal Wedding...rather than the State Trumperters, we suggest something traditional but also unexpected and fun! This professional drumline features percussion graduates from London’s most prestigious musical conservatoires who pride themselves in consistently delivering a high precision, high impact and highly visual show which features highly skilled technical drumming, stick tricks and slick choreography. This would be a great way to announce your arrival as a married couple and mark your entrance to the drinks reception or wedding breakfast!
Elton John Tribute
You may not be able to book the man himself for your Wedding Reception, but if you are looking for something a little quirky and different, a great tribute act is a fun and entertaining way to surprise your guests. Rumour has it that Elton performed four of his hits for Harry, Meghan and their guests as an unplanned performance after Harry asked the room if "Anyone here knows how to play the piano?" Elton sprung to his feet and performed "Your Song", "Tiny Dancer", "Circle of Life" and "I'm Still Standing" to a very excited audience. Our Tribute is sure to get everybody dancing and is happy to perform for your first dance.
Organic Jam - DJ and Musicians
Harry and Meghan wrapped up their evening with DJ's playing popular hits for the guests till the late hours - a popular choice for many couples on their wedding day. But why not book something a little different for your wedding with an Organic Jam! This unique concept consists of a DJ playing and expertly mixing music with a musician or musicians jamming over the top. This is a great way to add an extra something to your day and make sure nobody leaves that dance floor from the minute the music starts!
