In Pictures: The Opening of The Stable Barn

We love the beauty of wedding venues across the south west and we are always delighted when new venues get in touch to tell us that they’ll be opening soon! In this particular case, the gorgeous venue of Upton Barn & Walled Garden were opening a new wedding venue called The Stable Barn and we were lucky enough to be invited along to the launch night, providing entertainment for the evening!

One of the best parts of Devon and Cornwall is undoubtedly the many absolutely breath-taking towns and villages that are situated within the countryside. The town of Cullompton is no different, with its monthly farmers’ market and two grade I listed buildings. Just 13 miles north-east of Exeter, it lies on the River Culm and we highly recommend it for a wedding!

Upton Barn and Walled Garden is located just beyond the centre of town and was already a favourite for weddings in the area. With the opening of The Stable Barn, newlyweds now have a new option for their ceremony. As the stunning photos show, this is truly a space which can bring many a bride and groom’s dreams to life.

Accompanying us for the evening was the superb strolling acoustic act, Wandering Hands. An incredibly popular act, the trio comprise of two guitars and a saxophone, and they roamed throughout the evening, offering their repertoire to guests lucky enough to be in the vicinity. As soon as a song is selected, they play it in full to the delight of the crowd before moving on to amaze others in attendance. A truly phenomenal act, we really think they are set to take the south west weddings scene by storm.

We must give our utmost thanks to Upton Barn & Walled Garden for inviting us along to a superb event. We firmly believe that The Stable Barn will be a tremendous venue for many future brides and grooms across Devon.
