Five Stunning Wedding Venues in Devon and Cornwall
19 April 2017
If you’re looking to get married then Devon and Cornwall has it all. From gorgeous countryside to a stunning sea breeze, there is something for every couple to appreciate in the south west. We have been out and about in recent weeks assessing numerous wedding venues and getting excited about an awful lot of beautiful areas, so without further ado here are five places in which to get married on the south coast.
Lympstone Manor
A converted country home, this countryside manor is an absolute must-see, particularly because it has only been open for a few weeks so may very well not even be on your radar. Featuring 26 acres of gardens and situated on the Exe estuary, Lympstone Manor also features rooms in which your guests can stay as well as a world class wine cellar, which we think may very well come in handy on the big day. Still not convinced? The catering could come courtesy of Lympstone Manor’s Michelin-starred head chef, Michael Caines. What’s not to like?
Bridwell Park
Featured in our recent newsletter, Bridwell is a gorgeous and charming wedding venue that is located in 100 acres of breathtakingly beautiful parkland. A much-loved family home of Lord Ivar Mountbatten, it has only been available for weddings since 2015! One of Devon’s finest venues, it’s only your imagination that is holding you back when you hire this elegant stately home for your big day; the house is exclusively yours from the moment you arrive. Want to know more? Then feel free to pop along to their wedding fair on the 29th-30th April, where you may very well find entertainment being showcased by yours truly!
China Fleet
Located on the Devon and Cornwall border, the China Fleet Country Club is a venue that combines exceptional grounds with top quality service and ideas that are sure to make it a huge hit when it comes to wedding preparations. With numerous possibilities when it comes to your wedding entertainment, we can honestly say that most acts will fit right in no matter where and when you decide to have your wedding. A perfect blend of beauty, tranquility and romance, China Fleet Country Club is a must for your consideration and if you're looking to pop by, why not visit this weekend on the 23rd April? They're holding a free to attend wedding fair and we and a number of other suppliers will be waiting to help you imagine your big day in style.
Manor House, Dawlish
We had a wonderful wedding fair at Manor House in Dawlish just a few short weeks ago and so loved meeting each and every one of you who visited this sumptuous wedding venue. Enjoy having your wedding photos taken by the famous brook and bask in the delightful Devonshire weather at this stunning locale. A fine Georgian building, the building is available for both wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions and we strongly urge you to have a look round. You might even be lucky enough to spot a black swan in the water.
Kitley House
Kitley House is located in an exquisite secluded location in Plymouth. A luxury wedding venue in the heart of the south Devonshire countryside, Kitley House is an idyllic 500 year old building that needs to be seen to be believed. Situated within 600 acres of unspoilt pasture and woodland, if you're after a quiet wedding then you won't find a better venue. Able to cater to a large number of guests, couples are sure to experience a wedding day like no other. From walking hand-in-hand through the grounds to sharing a kiss by the water, this is what we all dream about when daydreaming about our wedding day!
